“I’ve always loved to write”

Since I was young, I’ve been writing poems and stories. I’ve always loved sharing my ideas and my thoughts with other people, and writing is a wonderful way to do that. I write because I want to share the things that I’ve learned and the things that I’ve come to understand. There is, after all, so much to learn.

I love China. I’ve spent countless hours learning about the culture.. learning about the language. When I teach, I love to talk about culture. I love to ask my students questions. I love to learn and to understand. There’s still so much I have to learn – I’ve barely begun to scratch the surface. But I’d like to share what I have learned with people who maybe don’t have the opportunity to travel to China right now. If you can come, I would encourage you: please come! But if you can’t, I hope my writing can give you a snapshot of what it’s like.
